www.zinefair.com is the Café Royal organised zine and book fair that is taking place on Friday and Saturday January 29th and 30th in the SU building at the University of Central Lancashire. All welcome. There will be a range of zines / artists books from around the country covering 35 stalls.

www.caferoyalbooks.com is releasing Six titles over the coming weeks. One is to be launched on the occasion of the fair mentioned above. Others are myself [China Zine 2nd ed], Henrik Drescher 40pp colour A6 book / laser cut cover. Josh Doster 32pp b/w/ hand screened two colour cover. Joakim Drescher and Maxime Francout, both 24 pp b/w zines.

As I mentioned last time, Café Royal has a new pricing structure that saves you money. We also now offer ‘surprises‘. Minimum £4 we’ll send you our pick of current stock, determined by the amount you spend. You will always receive goods equating to more than you have paid for.

Subscriptions will be coming back to the site soon, as and when past subscriptions expire.

As well as the Preston Zine Fair – above, we’ll be at the 13th Leeds international contemporary artists book fair at the University on March 12th + 13th.

I am organising an exhibition in November, along with Warren Craghead. The show will happen in the UK and the USA [possibly two venues in two states] concurrently. The show will be zine / book / drawing based [not necessarily all three]. we plan for there to be a link up between previews and possibly a webcast. Also faxing of live drawings between venues is likely. If you are interested please contact me regarding submission details.

www.craigatkinson.co.uk – I’ve been busy with various projects. One includes working with The Outlook Magazine in Shanghai on a mini book which they have just published as an addition to their latest edition. See previous post.

I’m also working on a new book which will place together drawings, photographs and objects from my childhood. As ever, plans might change!

I’ve decided to take fewer commissions recently to allow myself time to work on ‘my own’ work. I do however still read and respond to all enquiries and take on some client based work.
