Huddersfield & Holmfirth 1972 I was a student at Wimbledon School of Art. John Benton Harris was my tutor. John had been commissioned by the Arts Council of Great Britain, along with Chris Killip, to photograph Huddersfield for the ‘Two Views’ project (which also included Koudelka, Ian Berry, Colin Curwood, Ron McCormick, Christine Pearcey and Kevin Keegan) and suggested that I accompany him on the first of his visits. A photograph of John in action appears on page 21.
